That's possible, although I can't see how it could easily be for the worse. I've connected through the Camcord input on a few occasions, and I've never noticed any major differences in sound.

Fun - second time in a couple of days I mix up horizontal and vertical - and I even had an image of the 7-2 in my head as I wrote it!!!

I've been told that the sound processing from the Camcorder and the AV-4 R/L is not the same, but I'm not certain ...

Exactly, that's what I was told - while the screen remains on when you use the Camcord connector. Nicer with the screen off - and the vertical BL 7 produces a wonderful sound.

You mean horizontal! The BeoLab 7s are all fantastic loudspeakers, although the 7-4 (vertical speaker) can only be used in tandem with others.

I would connect via the 'Camcord' connection in the side of the TV rather than go fiddling about with the back of the set. If you are planning on keeping the cable there permanently, then you may wish to hide the cable round the back of the TV, out of sight!

You can turn the screen off with the P.MUTE function though, so either is fine.

If your BV7 is a mrk 2, if you live in EU it is... then use AV 4's two RCA phonon plugs, call AV 4 - V.AUX in the TV menu.

Then ADD. A-V.AUX to your remote (Press list and st.by at the same time to enter service menu on beo4. then "ADD?" is shown in the display press GO, and scroll to you find it) you also need to set the TV to "option 2" thats also done in the service menu on the remote you have to find "option" instead of ADD? by pressing "list", and then V.opt and then press "2", TV has to be in standby.

I don't have a BeoVision 7, but I was told that the AV-4, R/L connections in socket panel two was best for connecting an external music player? I don't know whether there's a difference in the circuitry of the Camcorder connectors and the AV-4 R/L, might be worth trying out.

And please correct me if I'm out to lunch here.

All you need is to purchase a 3.5mm headphone Jack to 2 Phono/RCA lead and plug it into the small panel located on the right hand side just behind the screen. When you select Camera on the Beo4 Remote, it will play the sound through the B&O TV Speakers. You can purchase this lead from Bang & Olufsen of Reading (0118 9590770). The reason I know, is because I have just done the same thing and purchased mine from the nice guys at the reading store. Hope this helps.

Hi,

I have just received my 40" B&O BeoVision 7 and the person who helped set it up in my house told me that it was possible to connect an MP3 player to it, and have the sound come from the lovely speaker underneath the TV. Is such a thing possible, can somebody please tell me how it's done? Many thanks,
