I have a BS4 and my setup is identical to yours. I connect a long RCA cable that travels all the way to my TV unit. What my setup consists of is a TV, DTV box and DVD recorder. The DTV box is linked to the DVD via scart, and the DVD is then connected to a scart converting cable which goes to my TV (RCA in). The TV only recieves video from both sources. The audio plugs from the scart converting cable are connected to the RCA cable with a piggyback RCA plug to RCA plug adapter (from tandy's or whereever). The ipod was connected also to this piggy back adapter. There is then no need to switch the sources, it works PERFECT with no interference. The only thing to remember is not to have more than one audio source going to the BS4. It's safe, but the sound of the ipod mixed in with the TV. I don't have an ipod anymore so it's just the SCART sound (DTV box, DVD recorder) that goes to the BS4.

This procedure cost me less than $20.

Never seen one, But I haven't look for it eider.

You can get a scart splitter thats remote controlled, you can use this...

So all of the BS4's connections are under the base then. Never knew that.

First time B&O have done this since the BeoMaster 5000 on their audio systems.

No also on BC2... so think this is the way thy will go from now on..

I assumed that BS4 was equipped with normal DIN AUX, but it seems I was wrong sorry

Buy yourself a decent audio switcher (QED make a very good one), then get appropriate cables from someone like flashbacksales.co.uk, you will not have any real issues with sound quality and most importantly, enjoy .

thanks for the quick reply guys...

since i need to connect a computer as well (dont want to go through the tv) and hence need 3 connections to the beosound 4, what would you guys suggest?? still go with an aux splitter / switcher ? also will this affect sound quality and any good brands you could suggest ?

Im living in the uk so would appreciate it if anyone has a web link to a good quality aux splitter / switcher i could buy...

I have a beosound one and its connected using a connector as stated above. Its easy to do just ask in the B&O store.

Beosound 4 has rca/ phono for aux connection.

Think the Beosound 4 has RCA connections. So DIN splitters are of no use, I was going to suggest a CD/TAPE adaptor. Did not because of this.
