Because the hole for the connector on the casing is drawn, but not cut (remember I've got a 8800 BV3),

If you cut the hole, then you can see the connector on the chassis of the BV3 itself.

By using the mentioned adapter, you can use the round connector from the base, which will be converted to a square/rectangle connector, which will fit on the chassis.

This adaptor is about 7 cm long.

'Finally got it !!! The DIN connector from the 4066 motor plate fits in the BV3-28 !!! But why the hell did B&O change the base's connector format for the BV3-32 ??????????

Does that mean that 4068 cabinet with the 4066 plate (underneath it) were not intended for the BV3-32 ???

I can't find any reference to the adaptor mentioned on your drawing, I could eventually help myself if I had the pinout schema of the connectors (i.e. of both, the DIN one, and the rectangular one).

I'm not too optimistic on this... but if anyone has the pin assignment of both the 4066 and the 4067 connectors, I'd be very, very, very pleased !!!

Cheers

Philippe

Thanks a lot !!

But how should I understand this ?? Do you mean I should open the case and check on the PCB itself ? Because the hole for the connector on the casing is drawn, but not cut (remember I've got a 8800 BV3), I know the 4067 plate is not compatible, but what about the 4066 ??

What also remains a mistery for me is: for what TV model did the B&O engineers design the round connector of the 4066 plate, if it doesn't fit anywhere without adapter ?????????

Re: BV3-32 Stand 4068 HELP !!!

Could be it:

Re: BV3-32 Stand 4068 HELP !!!

All the BV3's have a connector at the back. But it isn't really a connector on the back, but on the chassis itself.

On the back there is a retangular hole where the motor stand cable via a adapter/converter/connector goes through .

Basically, that rectangular connector has also the same 5 pins as the round version.

So, there exists an adapter which goes from 5 pins round to 5 pins rectangular.

If you have the stand connected, then the option STAND will be available.

Bear in mind, that the newer motor plate from a 88xx doesn't fit on a 8800 version.

BV3-32 Stand 4068 HELP !!!

Hello together,

I've got an old BV3-32 (type 8800), sitting on a 4068 stand (the square one with 3 drawers). I found a 4066 motor plate, but I've no clue if it's possible to use it...

The strange thing is: the motor plate has a 5-pin DIN-Type connector (round, a bit like PowerLink), the newer BV3-32 (881x) models have a rectangular connector on the back (like the 4067 motor plate), so I'm completely confused !!! Where the hell am I supposed to connect the 4066 plate ??? Is there an adapter for this round connector ?? And if not, where was it supposed to fit ???? Another point is that there's no STAND menu in the TV settings...

Any help/comment/idea appreciated !

Regards

Philippe
