Not sure. If you catch the screen in the right light, you can see it is in fact blue, though much darker than the usual colour. But in normal light it appears much as a Beovision 1 . The box had BLACK on it. It is a relatively late one but not one of the last. I have not seen a nother one and my old dealer had not either. I'll do some decent pictures but I am actually waiting for the silver disc for the base.

the blue are rare enough

how limited were the black compared to the blue? was it a limited run or a colour option at a time when no-one had seen blue before?

black sounds very smart

My blue AV9000 (connected to an Ouverture) is still running fine... And only working in the weekend... So hope to enjoy it for a extra number of years :-)

When I connected the Ouverture to the AV9000 (no additional speakers!) Speaker 1-mode did not work. Option settings were correct. But no sound from my Ouverture. My dealer then told me that I had to short-circuit 2 wires in the MP-plug.. and voila :-) Music!

(Ok.. 1 down side... The AV9000 does not remember Speaker 1 in audio mode... So have to put it in Speaker 1 mode very time I switch on radio or CD.. but hey... that's 1sec of work)

Wonderful! Any pictures? I've always liked the 9000 a lot, but blue has always been the wrong colour for my livingroom.

I have 2 AV9000.

Both with MPAV9000.

One with DVD instead of V.Tape,

the other one straight is converted

Mine is also running on a day-to-day basis in the sleeping room.

After 6years of use the marvelous mechanical curtain is still breathtaking for me every evening.

i was standing next to a pair of blue beolab 8000s the other day and thought how cool they would look next to the av9000

I am on the prowl for a newer one to replace this one when it does go.

By far one of the best bits of B&O ever even if it is a glorified sibling of the MX6000!

The Av9000 has only the master option, so not possible... you can place a beolink active with a Ir eye to control sat and DVD..

i also have one & was just about to post a question about it, so hope you don't mind me asking

do you have any idea on how i can set it up as a link tv (slave) with the avant being the master, i've managed to do it so i can get the sat and dvd on seperate channels (e.g 5 & 6) but i can't change the sat or operate the dvd from the remote and i can't get any audio out - any ideas ?

btw, have had the av for years and it still looks as good in the room as when it was new, think it has got to be one of b&o's best designs ever !
