So you will have a pair of unused 4000s. But if you spend slightly more and buy a pair of lab4s and the lab11 (which you can use with the four speaker lab3 setup where it can really enhance the bass) after the upgrade you will have a pair of unused lab4s. And 4000s cost nearly as twice as lab4s. So it will be twice a waste!

Re: Speaker question

I've had both.
4000s are SUBSTANTIALLY BETTER!

Re: Speaker question

Thats what I was thinking of, I have listened to the 4000, I like the sound but they are a bit big - looking very big. However it is probably the better choice as far as for the sound.

Re: Speaker question

I haven't spent much time listening to BeoLab 4s, so you should take my opinion with a grain of salt. But, I think a pair of BeoLab 4000s will complement your BeoLab 3s quite nicely, and probably a good deal better than the BL4s. Good luck with your setup!

Best regards,

Speaker question

I have posted this in nordic aswell. I have a beocenter 2 with beolab 3, this sounds great. Now I have bought a beovision 10-40 black frame and black covers, pitures will come as soon as I get it home. The storeguy recomended me beolab 4 as rear speakers. I have listened to these, and they sound better than I expected, but is it the right way to go? Shall I have beolab4000 instead - "more sound" can the 4's sound to thin?

The best thing would be a pair of beolab 3 even in the back, but not for now.

As you can see in the flash thread we have a small space for tv and sound, so I cabt have 6000/8000 speakers there.

So.. Do anyone have experience of this setup or similar?
