The tweeter is the same as in Beolab 8000 (and a number of other products, including some televisions!) and will probably cost you ~50 euros at the dealer. Don't bother trying to find a generic replacement.

Swapping the tweeter itself is no big deal, but you will also receive a bagful of SMD components you might need to replace at the amp, depending on how old your speakers are... these update the treble protection circuit so that the new tweeter won't blow quite as easily.

The treble level should also be calibrated, but you might opt to leave that alone since nobody will ever know you didn't.

The tweeter doesn't cost that much is it?

What happened with the frets you have now? If it's just the cloths they are easy to be reclothed you know! Just did a pair for a friend of mine.

As for the tweeter I'm not really sure, except suggesting going directly to B&O and seeing how much the part is new.

Hi,

Could anyone point me in the direction of where I could get hold of a pair of beolab 6000 frets and replacement tweeter. I've been trawling ebay for ages with no luck.
