&lt;p&gt;I have the same problem. Check Peter&amp;#39;s answer in &lt;a target="_blank" href="http://forum.beoworld.org/forums/t/22045.aspx" title="this thread"&gt;this thread&lt;/a&gt;. Apparently it has to do with some sort of gearbox (so not much to be done yourself unfortunately)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My unit has been&amp;nbsp;doing so now and then for 3 years now. Maybe I should bring it to service but as I don&amp;#39;t use CDs or DVDs much, I have not bothered yet...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Sorry to make the first post a question.&amp;nbsp; My Beocenter 2 has just started &amp;#39;playing up&amp;#39; in that it used to swing the &amp;#39;wings open, raise the CD cover and light up to enable me to laod a cd.&amp;nbsp; Now, when I press load, the wings open but the cover stays closed and lights remain off.&amp;nbsp; If I press &amp;#39;load&amp;#39; again, the cover opens up momentarily before closing again along with the wings.&amp;nbsp; If you can get a cd in during the brief open perion, all is well.....&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Anyone any ideas on how I can sort it out?&lt;/p&gt;
