&lt;p&gt;hey my friend says he will give me his fully working mx4000 in white and i can change it from white to red! I&amp;#39;m glad i kept the red one!&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Good result in any case - the 3000 isn&amp;#39;t completely B&amp;amp;O inside, and the 4000 can be up to 15 years younger!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The rear cover is easy to swap, just one screw in each corner and you can carefully pull it off. You might need to disassemble the rear cover into two pieces and swap the parts between them as well. I seem to recall the middle (black) part is slightly different in the older models. &lt;p&gt;You could get another one and move the red back panel from the one you got to the new one!&lt;/p&gt;
