I've just had the opportunity to buy a piece of design history - the beocenter 2500! It's in great working order considering it's close to 20 years old. The one thing that annoys me is that it is slow to detect movement and open the doors. I've found the FAQ on the site dealing with this problem (http://www.beoworld.org/faq_view.asp?id=56) which unfortunately didn't help - there was no tape left to remove on the panels. I've cleaned and dusted sensors, front panels and glass doors with no improvement.

The only thing which helps is removing the glass doors.

Does anybody have any idea where the problem lies? Is there a way to make the sensors more sensitive?

Thank you,
Daniel
