I have spoken with Ignace about a year ago and he told me about his father who was very sick. Let's hope for the best! Never have spoken with Ignace about his moderator position at BW.

The last time I spoke to him, he said he father was getting better and then he disappeared. I would really like to know how he is as we use to e-mail a lot and I even bought a CD3500 from him.

Just noticed that you're from Durban SA. Next year I have to make a business trip to Secunda near Johannesburg. Have a friend who lives in Durban so probably I'll go there first. First time for me visiting SA, looking forward....

We had a streamlining operation of the moderating team earlier this year. Situations change - it's almost five years since this current incarnation of BeoWorld started - and due to family or work issues, or simply lack of spare time & interest some of the old members hadn't even logged in for months. They all agreed that it will be better to continue as normal members for the time being. It is none of our business to disclose what the reasons for anybody were; if you think you really need to know, you will have to ask them yourselves.

So currently the team is Lee, Peter, Chris, Martin, Keith and me. Thanks to our lovely membership there isn't actually that much to moderate, mostly we just approve (and occasionally disapprove) posts that have been caught by the automatic filter.

As to how it works in the "around the world" subforums... I can personally read & write in Swedish and German, and therefore can also read passably Norwegian and especially the service manual dialect of Danish. Dutch is halfway between German and English, and you can't sell me a bag of bad potatoes in French nor Estonian either

Because BW seems to be "controlled" by UK and some "foreign" well English speaking members like Mika, Martin and Chris.

Yes, I knew the answer already regarding to Ignace, so am I allowed to ask this question on the General forum? Where is Ignace?

Ok, afaik there used to be one (Ignace) who was or still is the moderator of the Dutch forum. Am I right?

"Bad" words e.g. cannot be used so how can you monitor as a non Dutch speaking person our Dutch section. Just curious how things work on a forum

Currently, nobody in particular. We are all multitalented

Admittedly it means that something may slip past the scrutiny more easily than in the English / Nordic subforums, but they are still all monitored.
