&lt;p&gt;To use WiFi with the Beosound 5 you must remove the Beosound 5 from your Beo6 configuration, then add it again and when&amp;nbsp;the&amp;nbsp;updated configuration is&amp;nbsp;download to the Beo6, the B&amp;amp;O&amp;nbsp;Configuration Tool will automatically update the Beo6 firmware to version 2.11a at the same time as the new configuration is downloaded.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;If I do understand your question correctly:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Yes, you have to upgrade the Beo6 firmware to use the WI-FI Funktion - see other threads&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Third Party Products: you could either use XML-files - Keith is the specialist or some units thats translates the B&amp;amp;O ir-codes;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;and yes you can programm macros&lt;/p&gt;
