well there are really no settings, it is a squeezebox duet do it is pretty simple :(

Yes, the BV 8 support digital input.

I don´t have a sqeezebox, but it should work. May be you have to change the sound format of digital output of the sqeezebox. Try PCM or dolby digital.

You need to add "SPEAKER" as a virtual button of your "LIST" (as described in the Beo4 manual).

- Press "STANDBY" (red dot button) and "LIST" simultaneously.
(Beo4 display should display "ADD?" - if not - repeatedly press "LIST" till display is showing "ADD?")
- Press "GO"
- Press "LIST" until "SPEAKER" is displayed.
- Press "GO" - the Beo 4 should display "ADDED"

To select a function/source of your "LIST"
- repeatedly press "LIST" until the desired function/source is displayed
- press "GO" to send the command.

I know about the list, but my beo4 does not have the speaker option, this is the problem

Hi,

you have to use the SPEAKER option on Beo4. Press LIST until SPEAKER appears in the display and then 1 for only the internal speaker of your BV 8-40 (or p.e. 5 for all speakers).

Hi guys

I have a pair of bl4000 and bl6000 connected to my bv8-40, it sounds great, but I would like to use only the tvs speakers for normal television. I can read from the manual that the beo4 has a option called Sound under List. However, my beo4 is old and it does not have the Sound option, but i also have a beo5. How can I find the Sound option?

My second question is easy, I have squeezebox duet connected to Spdif 1, I choose AV2 and selected Spdif 1, but I dont get any sound :S Any ideas?
