Because you had posted this, your Avant has an inbuilt STB controller. But you can control your V+ Box via Beo 4 and PUC cable only if the V+ box is listed there.

OK, if your Avant has a STB controller, you can choose your V+ box (don´t know this) if you select STB. But I assume your Avant has no STB controller or - if yes - the V+ box is not listet there.

If it has an inbuilt STB controller, you would also need a PUC cable between Avant an V+ box to control your V+ box with Beo 4, otherwise you have to control the V+ box with its own remote.

Try to assign AV (or DECODER) to p.e. DVD and connect the V+ box via scart to the AV socket (or DECODER socket). Now press DVD on your Beo 4 and you should see the picture of the V+ box. If not, connect another device (p.e. DVD player) to the Avant to see if it works.

If you change one of the connection input options to 'STB' (and then press enter - centre button) does the TV screen then come up with a list off different makes of Set-Top-Boxes? If so, you have a STB controller so your Beo4 should be able to control any of the boxes listed.

What buttons does the second row down on your Beo4 remote have? DTV DVD CD or SAT AV CD?

Hi im not sure if it has a STB controller?

I go on Menu - Setup - Connections (no source)

then i have AV and DECODER and then i can select options on each.

these are:

Hi!

To solve your problem: First, does your Avant have an inbuild STB-controller? What do you see if you press on Beo 4 MENU and then "Setup" "Sources"?

BeoVision Avant v+ problem

hey, ive just brought this TV off ebay and i am struggling to connect my v+ box.

I have connected it via scart from the AV from the TV to the V+ box scart.

all i have is a grey screen and if i got into the menus i can change the av and decoder settings but cant get a picture??

anyone know the problem or how i set it up to show the v+
