While 50,000 sounds like a good number if you divide that by the number of B1 shops in the annual report 682 then 12 months that is only 6 units a month per location and that doesn't include shop in shops or Apple stores. Is that going to save the day?

Well done, especially when one considers that most people don't even know of it's existence because of poor marketing. It isn't sold in the online Apple-store. A missed chance.

Should be advertised with it a lot more.

In the early 90's BeoCenter 2500/BeoCenter 2300/BeoSound Ouverture saved (ok.. together with the BL6000 and 8000) B&O from going backrupt... Let's hope that the BS8 is the start of solid new product launches... and that the postponement of the launch of PLAY is just a hick-up

I am sure hxpro was an entirely seperate (and accidental) invention discovery by a b&o tech working on a system to consistantly setup tape decks on the production line, although I am sure Dolby would like you to think otherwise!

Anyway congratulations B&O on a superb product and a great overall stratagy!

What an achievement it is

A great product launched at the right time work wonders, thinking of the Beosound 8 as the new HX-Pro: something already invented (Dolby HX) to be perfected by B&O and become a massive sucess

That's very good news for B&O, especially since 75% of the buyers are new customers.

Now let's hope they quickly improve the BeoPlayer app, and I also heard there was an Airplay version coming out soon..

Still, I can't help wondering how much wealthier B&O would have been today if they had followed the trend and released an Ipod dock years ago..
