Sorry to hear Nidul. Better wait (for a long time) untill everything has dried up and be patient.

Hopefully it's not so hard as it looks like. Have you got any cosmetic damage and what about insurance?

Cheers, Leslie

...or the Landlord's insurance (maybe he has new for old?)

Re: No Way- How much bad luck can a guy have!!!

Sorry to hear Nidul.
As I write this guys, I am in bits!!!

Took all my new Equipment to my new flat. That includes 2 Avant Tvs and my BeoSystem 7000 plus 2 Penta's and RL 35.2. Setted it all up and was working fine I was happy. Went and stayed at my parents for a few nights went back to mine last night, and to my horror, when I opened the front door, I could hear what sounded like a tap running!!! Immedieatley I run upstairs and was confronted by what looked like a waterfall coming through my ceiling in the landing, bedroom and living room!!!! All the new equipment was at the end of the flat and luckily was not dripped on. Although the water run under the speakers the stereo was quite high up, now my main concern was condensation, which has defineatly affected the system.

I turned it on just once and the speakers let out a sound like interference and worked for a min. So I turned it off, then a couple of mins later I tried to turn it on. It would not turn on. I think it needs drying out properly. Its gonna take a couple of weeks for the flat to dry out then the landlord will redecorate etc. So I will defo move all my equipment out of there am so ****** off. But guys what should I do with the system, I'm guessing let it dry out properly then, try turn it on. As for the Tv I ain't got a clue what to do with them, they are two heavy to haul down a flight of stairs again but I suppose I will have to. Am so depressed!

Nidul
