I put my iTunes library on "random" when I'm cleaning house, and I get everything from Bach to Madonna! But I've NEVER met anyone else like me in that regard. It seems to me that most people pull out an album because they feel like indulging themselves in a fairly homogeneous musical atmosphere for an hour or so.

By the way, I'm not acquainted with Northumbrian smallpipe music, Andy. If I had to get one album to introduce myself, which would you recommend?

Cheers,

Aj

Re: B&O CD "This is different" by Kipper

There is no doubt that the quality is good and it's well presented, but to be quite frank, Frank, unless you are a dealer I doubt that you would listen to it more than once.
Perhaps a better CD could have a mix of classical, rock, pop, opera, folk and electronic music instead of tunes favoured by one man, Kipper.

Andy T.

edit-- Oh, and some Northumbrian smallpipes!

Re: B&O CD "This is different" by Kipper

Maybe it would be better to get Deep Purple Machine Head in the new remix/remastered cd version. I think that, like most of the B&O CDs, "this is different" is not so much different. It just is a compilation of music in a nice booklet and package. The only thing that is different is the fact, that there is B&O written on it. The quality of the music is not really better than on any standart CD imo.

B&O CD "This is different" by Kipper

Hi,

Last week I was at my dealer to see the BV9 in the flesh and to hear the BL9's. I got a bag full of DVD's and CD's with me and tested both. Really nice, I must say! On the way out I got the CD mentioned in the title of the thread. It comes with a nice, big booklet with details to the songs and also nice pictures of B&O gear (songs by Sting, Richard Marx, Mike Lindup and others).

Having listened to it now a couple of times, I must say that the recording fidelity is really impressive. So if anyone visits a B&O dealer in the near future make sure you ask for this!

Cheers,
Frank
