I am hoping a loose connection or some thing simple i may find, which hopefully I can fix with no much trouble...any ideas from folks who have opened a beolab 4000 - the orginal not with ICE.

I tried all versions of cables. One speaker works with no issues - thus confirming its not cables or source...something internal in this specific speaker which cause some static randomly and humming sound when powered on but with no music being played.,,humming sound seems to be constant..

Re: Beolab 4000 and Static When Powered ON

Thank You for the advice, the speakers are MKII. The cables are however the new double shielded type.
Just few days ago suddenly one of my beolab 4000 is producing static. When powered on the static is very noticeable and even when playing music one can hear the irritating noise. What could be wrong.

Initially i thought the beocom 6000 nearby may be interfering but moving that did not help.

Any Ideas??

Thanks
