Pulling apart an Avant is a big job. If you upgrade your membership you can get a copy of the service manuals for free!!

Re: 28" Avant vcr

Got my Avant and I love it , picture quality is great, and the sound quality is amazing, I cant wait to go and get my Avant 32 now. Also I was thinking of buying a broken Avant 32 dvd and swapping the internals with my Avant 32 vcr would that be worth doing? I think it should be a pretty straight forward swap? Any advice guys

After All the bad luck and polavor of yesterdays shananaghins, I have soe great news. I am going to pick up my new-to-me Avant 28" vcr, one thing is for certain and that is, I will not be aking the same mistakes I did yesterday!!!! Thats for sure, I will be taking 2 big fluffy duvets and a couple of pillows as protection. But is there a special way of transporting these TVs? Does it come apart? and is there a check list I should ask for when I meet the seller? I read that the Tubes on these can be quite fragile? What should I look out for? Wish me luck guys I can't wait!!! Oh and it isn't to far away, the next town actually, 4 miles away! Happy days!
