Wow Bang&Olufsen was awesome in those days. That is the design that really captivated me.

I loved B&O back then. I havnt been drawn to BC2 or BS4 or BS5 but the BS8 has found a place in my heart.

Lovely pix guys - awesome in fact hope you njoy :)

Re: I went to 1991 to do some shopping

tournedos:

It is so pretty, I had never seen any of the 4500 components in person before and I'm quite tempted to start collecting a set - but for now, the Beocord will go back to the safety of its comfy box, I'm not going to be the one to make the first scratch...

The 4500 series is very pretty! The mirror finish is a bit impossible to keep clean, though. Better keep it in the box!

In case you are serious about the 4500 series, I got a Beomaster 4500 + Beogram CD4500 which don't have any use at the moment. Unfortunately not even close to the prettyness of your BC!

Re: I went to 1991 to do some shopping

9 LEE:

I interrupt Stevie's silky smooth Tin Pan Alley guitar mastery and exercise the functions. Some operations are slightly erratic, so I believe I need to treat the Beocord with one of Dillen's belt kits - not too surprising after 20 years in storage!

My BC4500 will try to eat the occasional tape. Believe it or not, I prefer my BC2400 sound-wise, but the 4500 is gorgeous.

Congratulations again. If you do indeed perform a Dillen belt surgery, please let us know how it went. I may have to copy you if the tape-eating would be helped.

Re: I went to 1991 to do some shopping

Lovely!

Re: I went to 1991 to do some shopping

Just for the record - it's Mint because it's new old stock. This thing has never been used - it sat in a dealers stock room for 20 years, untouched!
