Worth a quick tweak with the screwdriver before you dump it, you may get some more life out of it or even some sensible money from ebay.

Hi,

If anyone would like an AVANT 28 DVD , then its available FOC - just come & get it.

The TV works fine - is in use with a SKY+ BOX. Sound is superb. Picture is good BUT...there are some horizontal lines visibale "behind" the picture - not visible all the time - more noticeable on dark screens.

This may be a precursor to the tube going.

I cannot bring myself to take it to the tip for recycling.

The DVD mech is fine, all the electronics and speakers are working 100% - if nothing else, it's a bloody good (if rather big) CD player....!!!

So - free to anyone who wants to come & get it - North Manchester, 2 minutes off J22 M60 / 5 mins J20 M62.

Would be such a shame to throw it out - maybe its a dry joint, or easily fixed "tweak"...or maybe you can use the stuff inside for a project, or fit a panel - seen that here - but will keep until first week in November, after which time its heading for the bin :-(
