(From memory so I could be wrong!) When it's turned off, press the 'mute' button on the front panel (NOT remote) and the green light disappears - I think it's a timer function.

Hope this works - can't help with the other problem but perhaps take it to bits and give it a good clean!

Hello everybody

I have a beosound 2500 that opens and closes randomly.

I think that the detection eye doesn't work correctly.

I have already cleaned the glass in order to avoid dust or anything else.

Is there any way to clean it inside or do I plan to replace it (average cost).?

There is something strange too with this beosound : when the beosound doesn't work there is normally a red light on the front (standby).

When it works and it is on standby, I have always the red dot and a green dot on the left of it.

I have owned 3 type of beosound and I have never seen this green light on the front.
