&lt;p&gt;Since you mention the 3000 and 4000 together, I&amp;#39;m going to assume you are talking of the 70s slider units.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You can connect an iPod two different ways to the 3000, by RCA or by DIN. I plug my iPod through the TAPE connection.&lt;/p&gt;
