There are songs that fit the 5000s better and some that dont.</p> <p>I love my 5000s to death and enjoy them daily. However, I cannot bash the Pentas as I&#39;ve never heard a set. I just bought a pair of BL5000 in mint condition, now supported by BL3000 as rear speakers..</p> <p>Playing Pat Methenys &quot;We Live Here&quot; album from back in the 90&acute;s ..turning it up loud is simply amazing on that set of speakers.<br />I guess from a nerdy, technical point of view you can have doubts about their performance, but musically I think they are amazing with certain recordings. ( like the one mentioned above). If you do a search you may even find the thread which answered this question once &amp; for all. The outcome was ... er... a draw with both speakers having similar numbers of plusses &amp; minuses &amp; fan bases who argued that their choice was easily the best.
