With the speakers everything went well so if you can not get the boxes that should not ruin your speakers. The shape of the Penta's is quite easy for wrapping. Most of the B&O range seem to handle well even several removals.

Better check that the wrappers and packers do their job properly to avoid unpleasant surprises. MY BG9000 was wrapped well but without any transport security features enabled. Endcome: scratched plate and the condition of the needle questionable. Fortunately I had an insurance.

Re: Advise on shipping BEOLAB PENTAs

The original styrofoam and cardboard boxes are still available; have your dealer order them for you. When you're setting them up, be sure to glue to the middle supports, which wrap around the display portion of the speaker, into place against the sides of the box. Otherwise, the middle supports will migrate during transit. They need to be glued in place because the display area is the weakest point, structurally, of the speaker. There's only about 50% of the pentagon present inside to provide structural integrity.

Advise on shipping BEOLAB PENTAs

Hi all,

Can anyone give me some good advise about packing a pair of Beolab Penta's for shipping? I'm about to relocate from Europe to Asia and would like to get some advise or experience (good or bad) about shipping these fantastic speakers over a long distance. My pair of Penta 2's will end up in a shipping container and more than likely bumped about, stored and generally man-handled over a period of a couple of months. I can insure them of course but I'd prefer to get them there as 2 complete units safe and sound.

Cheers

Peter
