It was sold to me as an HD TV but is not the latest HDMI specced model. It does have a DVI &nbsp;/ component video input connections. I have connected up a full surround sound speaker system to it.</p> <p>My question is might this require an upgrade to make my external Panasonic Blu Ray play full surround sound. &nbsp;I have used a digital convertor for the digital sound output (optical &nbsp;- coaxial) and component video for the picture. My local B&amp;O dealer suggested that this might be the case.</p> <p>Any thoughts would be most welcome as it seems likely to be an expensive upgrade if required.</p> <p>Many thanks in advance.</p><div style="clear:both;"></div>
