Tomorrow I’m going to connect the Powerlink into the RCA input of the Yamaha. Yamaha is a temporary solution: I have in the living room a BC2 +BL8000 and I would like to upgrade to BL5, so, the BL8000 would go in the bedroom connected to BS4( maybe next year- who knows?…)

kind regards,

constantine

Re: Hum problem on BM2400

One of our members has their Powerlink connection connected to an external amp. Just cannot for the life of me remeber who it is. The only advantage of this over what Peter has suggested, would I imagine you wil be able to control the Volume by remote.

Craig

Re: Hum problem on BM2400

To connect these two together (and I wouldn't as the power amplifier in the 2400 is pretty average) you would run a cable from the Aux out of the BS4 to the Tape in of the BM2400. You can't use the Phono as it has a RIAA built in so it will sound very distorted. I don't think a Powerlink connection will be the way to go really.

Hum problem on BM2400

hi,

I have a BM2400 that I want to connect with my BS4.

It was not in use for few months and yesterday, when I tried uses the BM240 as an amplifier there was a noticeable hum on the speakers. In fact, in the first minute everything seems to be fine, but after that the hum appears.

Also, it is possible to connect the Powerlink from BS4 directly into the PHONO on the BM2400?

Anyone has an idea what could it be?

regards,

constantine
