Just found a B&O dealer nearby that offers a 2004 Beovison 5 "in perfect state" for a very attractive price...(but have to check it can properly display digital TV signals...).

Re: Audio AUX Link functionality

Yes. AUDIO AUX LINK functions will also work with BV 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10... and other Masterlink equipped Beovisions.

You will need a Beolink converter 1611and a Masterlink cable. It converts Datalink (Audio Aux Link) to Masterlink.

If you get a Beovision with an inbuilt surround decoder, I`d connect all speakers to the Beovision and set BS2300 to A.OPT 0 and BV? to V.OPT 2.

In this mode your system will be controlled via the BV and you can get surround sound (DD , DTS).

7-pin socket, which -connected to the AUX of my Beosound 2300- allows me to independly control the volume of both my Beolab 8000 (/w PL too MX7000) and my Beolab 3 (/w PL to 2300).

Question: I'm considering a (second life) BeoVision flatter screen. Can I get with either the BeoVison 5, 9 or 7 series the same functionality of the Audio AUX Link socket of the MX7000 ?

I looked at the manuals of all three and it seems to me that none of these can do this. Am I correct?? thanks, Rene
