Got some prices. Fairly the same as in the Netherlands. Strange, as the UAE does not have VAT. Typical B&O pricing strategy.

Probably best to buy new stuff just before departure and have it shipped VAT free to dubai. That saves 19%

If you're shipping a containers worth, you should be ok.......

Also, how long are you planning to stay in UAE ? are you then intending to return to Holland after say a year or two years, if so I suggest the shipping costs both ways may put you off.

I'd have thought a quick email to the Dubai store would do no harm. You could ask for a full price list or just the cost of what you have already; then compare it to what you'd get if you sold your current stuff or had to ship & insure it. I'll assumed that when it comes to B&O, the UAE isn't as dubious as it is for fake watches. I know someone who went and bought a fake rolex there, then he noticed how someone at work's watch didn't have a jittery second hand like his did. When questioned about why that was, the guy angrily pointed out "beause this is a real f-ing rolex!" I wish that wasn't the only story about fake brands formt he UAE...

Hi all,

We are about to move to Dubai (UAE) and I'm in doubt:

1) would all my beloved Beo-stuff survive being transported by sea freight?

2) will the prices in dubai be lower, so it would be worthwile to sell some of the stuff here in Holland and buy newer versions in Dubai?

Have been searching the internet, but the only thing I found out is that there is a B&O store in dubai. No prices or so....

Appreciate your help!
