Thanks for your help. The ebay store you referred me to, Carole's Needles, has the same one for sale at $24.50 US. I'll put mine up for $15 and hope that someone can use it.

Also, I found out the Almada Corporation, the one that my needle was produced for, was a Canadian company that imported records up until the 80's. More than likely my dad bought it here in Canada in the 60's.

We like photos.

In Denmark we had several producers of replacement cartridges and needles for the old SP type pickups.
Some of these more or less legal "counterfeits" were actually quite good, others worse than bad.

This is such a needle and this one was made in England.
I am not familiar with the producer so I cannot advice on the quality.

Not a Bang & Olufsen product but still a nice piece.
Regarding its value, I suppose you can use the quite similar Ebay items as reference
and we will end up in the 10-20 US dollars range.

Insteresting to see that the B&O model it fits has been taken forward of the others on the label.

Hi - I found one of my dad's old needles in a drawer. In original box, never used. The foam crumbled when I took it out, its so old! Mid-60's I'm guessing. Here is what's written on the box:

B&O STEREO DYNE II (took me a while to figure out that meant Bang & Olufsen)

Transcriber PS-84

Made in England for Almada Corporation. This stylus is fitted with a genuine micro-diamond needle.

I can provide photos. Hope this helps someone out (and maybe I'll make some dough.)
