peter . i used different leads, but ive checked both ends of cable and all looks well.

might it be possible for the problem beocord 3500 cable to have a break somewhere.

to replace the cable means i will have to take out the complete inside from frame.

I suspect the din Cable as well or the connection at the Tape player end. Does it seem to record?

Hi Colin, your posting is not the best composition I've seen! No grammar or punctuation at all making it difficult to follow. Not the best choice of type font either and why bold?

Notwithstanding all that, was your friend's unit connected with the same cable as tried with yours? I'm suspecting a cable issue, but if the other 3500 worked with the same cable then that can't be the source of the no sound problem.

When you say "everything works" but the sound ouput do you mean the the tape drive is ok and the cassette spools turn etc?

bought of ebay in good faith they swear it works.plugged into my beomaster 6000. everything works,except no sound at all.ive tried my pals 3500.all works as should.could it be my beom,6000 is out of sinc with this,beoc3500. and what do i do. any good sugestions would be welcome. regards colin.
