Sometimes, <go> <1> works. Sometimes, <go> brings up the programme list, such that <go> <1> selects channel 1. I haven't yet worked out what causes the different behaviour.

If you look at the guide that comes up on the left hand side of the avant each command has a number, so you would press go 1 etc :)

Re: MasterLink control of PVR

Works beautifully - thank you for the solution.

You can still get control of the box by using a shortcut. Make a note of the numbers on your side bar e.g. if menu is number 1, In the link room just select the Humax box then press "GO + 1". This should work for all boxes controlled in the main room with STB.

This principle also applies in the main room. Even though you have access to the side bar menu, it's just as quick to press GO = XX to get to whichever command you want.

However, the Humax includes a hard disk, in order to record programmes. To play these recordings on the Avant, I have to select <MENU><1> and can then get access to the Humax menu system.

Can anyone advise me how to play recordings on the Humax, when controlling it from the MX4002? When I press <MENU> it selects the MX4002 menu, and I cannot find a way to reach the Humax menu.

Thank you in advance.
