B&amp;amp;O recommend updating the software in the old base to match the new handsets but not many people bother and they seem to work ok.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The old MK1 handsets will NOT work with new BeoLine PSTN&amp;nbsp;base.&lt;/p&gt;

My Mk 1 was replaced by a Mk 2 Beocom2 and there is no difference. So I think you will have no problem with two B&amp;amp;O PSTN bases.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The only probleme for me with my Siemens and Sagem bases (with both Mk 1 and Mk 2) is I never had the CLIP on the Beocom.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;However if I were to add extra phones at a later date is a Beocom 2 Mk2 complatible with the mk1 PTSN ???&lt;/p&gt;
