in Spanish that would be

dónde está la oficina de beneficios, as approximately 4,612,700 of your countrymen ask on a weekly basis (20% of your population)

or in Welsh

ble mae'r swyddfa budd-daliadau as approximately 123,000 of my countrymen ask on a weekly basis (8.4% of my population) so there's a much greater percentage of the population working here

that's the trouble with being in europe........................so much gets lost in translation !!!

I'm pleased to hear that you are up and running!

There is seriously no charge and I don't normally "do" charities having once been short listed as a marketing manager for one of the big ones.

If you insist, then the poor souls in the Horn of Africa deserve better times, so please make a donation to DEC (Disasters Emergency Committee)

To be honest Olly, I'm glad to get rid of one. If it 's gone to some use, rather than the skip, then so much the better.

I won't have room for a lot of this stuff now we have made the decision to downsize.

It's my intention to keep the 9000 going beyond my days, I'm an old bloke now (well 50 anyway), and it's only now I'm getting into B&O, always loved it, never had enough money. It seems that everyone who's into B&O are all great people, helpful and generous.

I found some double sided foam tape which is 1mm thick, do you reckon it will be OK for the glass panel.

That tape could be just the job. If it sticks like sh1t to a blanket, you could be in business.

However, now comes the mucky, time consuming bit. You have to clean all the existing gunk out of the plastic channels and from the glass without any scratches!

Yes I've just tried as you suggested shorting C and E of that transistor and the function responded . I removed the board but there's nothing obvious to me. Luckily graham has offered a replacement board so hopefully I should be sorted

Ah, I see, I Misunderstood. Thanks.

Thought I could use this method to tackle a problem whereby touching a couple of points on the glass of my Beomaster 4500 would make better contact with the buttons below than currently is the case. Tried silver paper which works ok, but not very elegent nor a totally efficient solution.

Anyone got better ideas please?

I believe that this is the tape that is recommended by some.

Personally I think it is too thick and makes the glass panel stand up too far ............hey ho! Each to his own.

I use industrial grade superglue on 4500 glass panels as well. I dare say the above tape would work on those as well but I have not used it for that application.

Either way, the glass has to be a secure fit in the plastic frames or the touch controls just will not work.

I've seen mention of the use of double-sided tape before, but surely this tape is non conductive and therefore cannot conduct from the finger on the glass to the button below?

Or is there conductive double-sided tape that will do this?

We're only sticking the glass back onto the plastic frame that holds it in place. The frame complete with glass is then held in place with 1 screw underneath the left hand corner. So the tape doesn't need to be conductive, it is only holding the glass.
