&lt;p&gt;There is an iTunes import option where you can chose to have the music copied into iTunes&amp;#39; library space, or just use iTunes to manage the meta-data about the music. &amp;nbsp;Go to preferences and then look in this tab:&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;With your help I found the mistake. In the Folder iTunes (already containing all the music files) there was a second folder &amp;quot;iTunes Music&amp;quot; with the doubled music files. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Strange that iTunes created at any stage doubled directories...&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I just installed newest Beoplayer on my Dell WinXP Notebook and die a SCAn in the n.music source. Runs quickly through my C-drive and finishes without any problem.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;But when I looked into the Album list I saw some Albums doubled and ALL songs within the Albums doubled. Prior to the SCAN I did delete all double files in iTunes and also the files starting with &amp;quot;._&amp;quot; that were in many folders...&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What did I do wrong that the songs are doubled??&lt;/p&gt;
