Apologies for the delay in responding - I have been on holiday.

I tried the 'old-fashioned' re-boot and it worked.

Ok, strange. Did you try a reset? Is it possible to set the BV to standby ? (red stdby light).

What is connected to your BVs AV1 port? If anything is connected to AV1 with a scart plug, disconnect the plug and try again.

If this works connect your external device to AV2 port.

And try to press RECORD - STOP - STOP in V.MEM (V.TAPE) mode. Beo4 RECORD button usually responds just to V.MEM (V.TAPE).

I'm sure you have, but have you tried the customary advice in all these kinds of situation - a re-boot?

Unplug from the mains, wait 5 minutes or so, then plug in and switch on. I can't see that after power off it still locks into record.

Having said that though, my Sky+ box does!

Welcome to Beoworld.

Try pressing RECORD - STOP - STOP on your Beo4 remote. This should "stop" the recording.

Or try to add the buttons "LOCK" and "UNLOCK" to your Beo4 - only available in certain versions...

BeoVision 6 - 26 Record Lock

Hi,

I am new to this forum.

I have a BeoVision 6 - 26 which is locked on one channel and will not allow me to change. When I try to change channel, "Record" appears on the screen.

It appears that I have inadvertently locked the TV in "Record" mode with the Beo4 Remote.

I can't find anything in the BeoVision 6 or Beo4 manuals about this issue - it is mentioned in the BeoVision 5 manual!

I presume there is a simple method to unlock "Record" mode.

Can anybody help me?
