I think the response was reasonable because there will certainly not be any BL 7000 going for just $107 in the end of the auction.

Anyway, I currently have (located in the USA) a Beolink 7000 that is in perfect working order with table charger that I would let go for what I paid for it at $475 USD plus whatever shipping is. Currently my BS9500 is in a different room so it is getting lonely without that fabulous 2 way communication. Remote was recently serviced before I purchased it. It has hardly been used since I have. Holds charge well, motor works great, 2-way works fine, etc.

I wrote to the seller with a list of questions and concluded by asking whether the seller was aware that two BL 7000 were presently going on eBay for US$107. The seller responded by saying I should buy on eBay. Am I being over-sensitive or should I tell this person to get stuffed? I thought I was being very polite and respectful by suggesting that the prices on eBay are no where near the seller's asking price of US$770, i.e., is the seller willing to negotiate. I guess the reply is "no". :(

Mika, thanks. I did check e-bay but there is only one functioning BL7000 listed. There is another listed as for repairs or parts as the seller is uncertain whether it is working. I did not see any listed on LifeStyle AV.

I will see what the seller here in Hong Kong wants for a bottom price.

Jonathan -- thanks to you too. One reason for considering this purchase is so that I can have a spare [for use or for repairs] should my present one go on the blink. My Beogram 7000 is still down as I do not have much time to work on it at present. The Beomaster 7000 is showing signs of impending problems with the capacitors [?] and the Beolab 4500 needs work.

Fortunately, in my old age, I think I am holding up better than my B&O! Ha, ha, ha.

BTW: It might be the same person selling a Beolit 400 for HK$4,000 [~356 Euros]

That's worth quite a bit of course - but still I think it is way overpriced unless it really is flawless. Try to haggle it down. fleaBay has been full of these lately, so rarity is not an issue at least in global context.

Try to test two-way functionality from a good distance, not just on the same table with the controlled unit (if you get NO CONTACT further away, you'll be looking at repairs soon). Also, try to find out if the battery will hold charge for any reasonable time; probably need to trust the seller on this...

This will be a local purchase, so I will be able to inspect and perhaps test the BL 7000 before purchase. Also, no worries about damage during shipping from overseas.

Sounds high... But then again, depends on the rarity of the item in your area, and how important a face-2-face deal is compared to buying online?

I got mine for 250 euros 10 years ago. But in the 10 years I expect them to have gotten more rare...

300 to 400 Euro max. in my opinion....

Check ebay prices to get an idea.

Dear All,

I have the opportunity to buy a BL 7000 with table top charger for 540 Euro [475 pounds sterling]. Obviously, depending upon condition and perhaps age, is this a reasonable price [assuming good cosmetic condition and fully functional]?
