My first post so please be gentle with me.

I recently bought a pair of RL 45.2's as my first foray into the world of B&O. I then added a Beomaster 2000 as my 'old' amp had bitten the dust. So far I am really pleased with the setup. I have hooked up my Rega Planar 2 turntable and love the sound out of my RL45.2's which I have re-capped thanks to a kit off Dillen (Martin). I have now tried to hook up my CD player to the Beomaster using the phono sockets for the tape 2 input.

At low volume all is great with the cd, but after about 50%, there is a sort of underlying "Whooshing" sound coming from one speaker (sound like recording sound on a video camera into the wind if that makes sense). I have swapped the speaker plugs over to make sure that it isn't one speaker and that it is the right channel that is causing the problem.

I have also plugged the CD in using a 7 pin din to phono cable into the tape 1 input. That is exactly the same. If there is nothing attached to either tape input, then I can turn the volume all the way up and just get the usual "hum" out of the speakers, but if there is something connected to either tape input (with no cd actually playing) then there is this "Whooshing" sound from one speaker.

Sorry about the quality of the video but its off my phone

http://s353.photobucket.com/albums/r372/Carpy_Boy/?action=view&current=video.mp4

Has anyone got any ideas whats wrong with the beomaster. As I have said, it's ony when using the tape inputs. Any help would be greatly appreciated

thanks
