1. The front standby buttons on the lower front of each speaker can accidentally be turned off when handling the speaker. It has happened to us a few times when moving the speaker or changing the colour plates.

2. If the L-R speaker switch is selected (L or R) and you still do not have power or sound, then it is either a defective active power cord, or the speaker fuse that might need to be replaced.

Re: No sound from left channel

Hi Matt,

Welcome to BeoWorld! I can think of two problems with your BeoLab 4000. Is the red Stand-By indicator on the front on? This is also a mains switch. Just push the light indicator. Another problem could be the switch on the back of the BeoLab 4000. It say L/R/LINE. It has to be set to L or R, depending on if your BeoLab 4000 is placed on the Left or the Right. Maybe the setting is changed when you took of the speaker.

No sound from left channel

i recently took down one of my beolab 4000 speakers from the wall to decorate, i have put it back and now have no sound. The right channel is fine (i didnt move this) but the left speaker which has 2 power link cables going in isnt (i assume 1 of these is a link to the other speaker). I did get some feedback when i move them would this have blown anything??

i tried the speaker downstairs in my lounge to check out if it was this, it didn't work and now neither does the speaker that i un-plugged to test it. I have now stopped touching things as i clearly don't know what im doing!!

Any help is appreciated, before i get an engineer out.

Thanks
