I resolved my issue today. Quite simple, I went to maplins and purchased a 3m line cord White BT to Rj11. Plugged this in to the secondary plug of a single socket 2way splitter and everything's working fine! Thanks to all for comments and help.
Thanks valve 1. I have the 3 way allotted and have plugged into it and it doesn't work. Maybe its the wrong type though. I am in the uk. Thanks

Dig around on the forum: Keith has posted something on this problem. The wiring in the splitter is quite specific to the Beotalk. You also have to plug it into the primary/ incoming phone line socket, not into a secondary socket.

When I had a problem with my Beotalk it was a loose connection in the splitter: solved by putting elastic bands around everything!

Your Beotalk should have a 3 way connecter with POWER LINE APP written on it. I have two of these and the only cosmetic difference is one has a white spot on it. That one is for BT users. If I use it here the Beotalk will not respond to an incoming call. What country are you in?

Re: Beotalk 1200 powers up bu doesn't recognise the phone line.

Hello,

I have got a Beotalk 1200 and am trying to set it up.

I have power to the unit and it looks great, only rob em is it is not recognising the phone line.

I have had to use a splitter as I only have one socket in my apartment.

I have sent one line to my Beocom 2 PSTN which is working fine, but the Beotalk is not happy.

I have tried calling my house line and the Beotalk does nothing.

Can anyone help. Maybe I am using a wrong cable? The cable I am using is a standard phone cable, is this correct? If not, does anyone know the right cable to use and what the ref/part number is?

Many thanks for any help you can offer.
