&lt;p&gt;ask you local dealer about the problem. The warranty is based on the system not based on the owner so you should have the warranty.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The removal of the batteries (for a longer time as there is some kind of backup inside so it keeps the time ) should reset the Beotime.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The control button on my beotime has stopped working - it won&amp;#39;t respond to pressing. Any ideas? Can the BeoTime be &amp;#39;reset&amp;#39;? I have tried taking the batteries out and putting them in again, which made no difference.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;What&amp;#39;s the warranty on a BeoTime and does it transfer to one purchased second hand (which mine was)?&lt;/p&gt;
