&lt;p&gt;It should touch the front as I recall. You will have to figure out which position works and bent it carefully&amp;nbsp;if you have to. What happens moving it to so it touches the front?&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My CD6500 had a 3-5 second opening time which also came from a move.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Mine leave the &amp;quot;back &amp;quot; side and stop in the middle of the&amp;nbsp; 2 side , it dont reach the &amp;quot;front &amp;quot; one , then it goes back to the &amp;quot;back &amp;quot; one. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;it seems something is blocking but dont know what.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Now locate the middle section and you will see a switch which activates the lid. Push open a few times&amp;nbsp;and you will see how it moves.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;You will most likely need to bend it just a bit to get it right.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;After that put the top on and tighten the 2 or so screws in the back.&lt;/p&gt;

Just turn it round. The screws are at the bottom.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Or maybe you are missing a CD? Sounds like an inserted CD, that moved out of place, caused by the transport....(?)&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Just to clear out the most obvious fault, have you taken out the transportplugs on the bottom of the beogram? It is two plastic buffers that you unhook. Sounds like its not that but just to check.&lt;/p&gt;
