Unfortunately the BC 9000 service manual is not available in products, can you advise me where to get a copy or is the 9500 service manual which is available the same. Also if possible can you point me in the right direction where to purchase the capacitor kit? Again thank you.

Basic electronic skills and tools (soldering etc.)
is required to replace the caps.

There are any number of threads on the forum which describe the cure, which involves replacing C2103 on the CD servo board.

Use the search facility on the forum. Type in C2103 and you will find a number of answers.

Beocenter 9000

Help please , Beocenter 9000 model 2501.

Purchased in 1986 has developed a fault with the CD player. It began by refusing to play CDs beyond track 5 but subsequently developed into not playing them at all. I have tried a cleaner disk but with no joy. Can anybody advise what the fault is and if spares are still available and if a novice (me) can carry out the repair without special equipment? I know live on Alderney, Channel Islands unfortunately there are no service centres on the island and shipping to the mainland is very expensive.
