I would search the forum for instructions on how to do it, it's very easy with a Beo4 remote. Additionally, before I do that I would unplug all the equipment for approx. 5 minutes then replug it all in again.

Re: Multilink Issue?

I just got my BS9000 and Beolab 1's. These stories of systems just crashing give me the creeps.. after spending so much money. But I'm sure I'll manage whenever that happens.. or..
I am having a problem with my multi link system, and I need some advice.

My system is set up as follows:

Avant, BeoSound 9000, BeoLab 2000, and a second BeoLab 2000; all connected by B&O multilink cable with factory ends through a B&O junction (connector) box. The system has run flawlessly for more than four years.

Today, the 2000’s are not playing any sound or sending any commands. The Avant is playing just fine but it will not play the 9000; and the 9000 is playing just fine but will not play the Avant.

It is as if the entire multisystem has just died.

I disconnected the junction box and connected the BeoLab 2000 directly to the 9000 with a multilink, and nothing. I also have a spare BeoLab 2000 and I connected it to the 9000, and still nothing. I repeated the same procedure with the Avant, and nothing.

The red power light is on on the 2000's , and I should add that when all connected together they would switch on and then off but not give up any sound, and now directly connected they only have the red light.

Is there some sort of multilink setting that might have changed?

Any direction would be great, thanks.
