If it is an avant RF without the video, then you can hide the apple inside.

Years ago I build a HDR1 inside. A custom made alumnium box, which I could place in the center fo the avant.

Maybe your Avant has the (sometimes optional) STB-C - Set Top Box Controller?

Then you could use a cable (IR) from the output on the back of the Avant to the "input" (recieving area/spot) on the Apple TV and hide the Apple TV behind the Avant!

This can be put on top of the Avant.

Ok I have managed it, used a knife to just lift the fret a little and it then popped off really easily.

A little disappointed though because i was hoping that there may be the possibility of finding somewhere to house my Apple TV behind the fret. This I think would have been the perfect location as the remote would work and it would not really be visible. Ah well, I will have to think of another location.

I have had a try and can see what you mean. Is there an easy way to get the "block" past the stopper without damaging the fret at all. I have tried using the vacuum cleaner but this was unsuccessful. Any suggestions appreciated.

Nope, it is rather easy.

You have to shift the fret to the right. But in the middle there is a little "block". You need to pull the fret in the middle a bit towards you before you can slide the fret to the right.

Could anyone please tell me how to remove the speaker fret from the front of an Avant. Is it easy/difficult and is there any risk of causing damage?
