Nitromors is a pain to source where i am - would cellulose stripper do the job?

A user called A2bur put a thread on this on the old forum - anyone point me in the right direction as i'm going to have a go.....

Thanks guys

Re: Beogram 4500 compatible with a Beomaster 3500?

Great alternative Chris.

There is a picture of a 3500 Master that was converted this way in the Flash your B&O thread.

Re: Beogram 4500 compatible with a Beomaster 3500?

Dave0280:

The tops are pretty tired on all so i'm thinking a restoration project and possibly a chrome finish

I'm pretty certain that the 3500 panels are polished underneath the grey paint. I seem to recall a Beoworld member stripping the paint off with nitromorse paint stripper to obtain a match for the 4500 components. Obviously no abrasive papers or substances were used to do this as that would completely ruin the polished surface.

Chris.

according to the service manual there's no difference between CD3500 and CD4500 except the 3 mechanical parts chassis, cover & top plate.

So this should run smoothly

Will the 4500 seemlessly go into the setup. The tops are pretty tired on all so i'm thinking a restoration project and possibly a chrome finish for all or paint all the tops gloss white like i've seen on a thread on here and it looked fantastic.
