The mark is on the bigger plate where the button is not on the top and bottom plates . Also the color is yellow. I guess there is not much i can do then...Funny but when i had taken my beosound 1 to the service center to have the cd player replaced, they made a big scratch on the white cover grille. Maybe i should ask for a discount for a new plate on the beolab 4000.

Re: Beolab 4000 question

This subject comes up every other year or so. The small but noticeable dings and scratches that occur from speaker placement, sliding glass doors on the Beosound 3200, children, falling books, or curious guests.

The aluminum plates are very well anodized, as mentioned above. There are, or were BEOWORLD members here that specialize in working with the anodized front plates to the Beolab 4. Many members have changed from coloured plates to the bare, " raw, original metal " appearance of the Alu on Alu look. I would speak with these experienced members.

On the other hand there are products out there that should not be used to conceal or salvage a scratch on the BL 4000 metal. The Steel wool, nail polish, or 60 grit sandpaper effect comes to mind.

Re: Beolab 4000 question

As faras I know you can't...

The metal is anodised so the panel will need replacing

Beolab 4000 question

Hi i was wondering if there is a away to remove a scratch from a beolab 4000. It's not really a scratch..more like a mark. Like a little part that isn't shiny . Is there some kind of liquid or solution that can remove this? Does it depend on the color?

Thanks
