I am guessing that the "Bang" is caused by the fact that there are incorrect connections in the BeoMaster 7000

The first thing I would ask is the cable from Beomaster 7000 to the LCS9000 a B&O cable or made either by your friend or purchased from someone other than B&O ?

Does the cable look like the small picture below ?

Is the "Left" and "Right" plug the correct way round in the BeoMaster 7000 ?

Re: BL3500/ LCS 9000 makes a loud BANG

You can use the MasterLink on the LCS9000 but he will need to purchase a type 1611 converter box because the Beomaster 7000 does not have MasterLink only MCL (Master Control Link)

The Type 1611 box converts MasterLink to MCL

If he decides to use the MasterLink, then he will need to set the LCS9000 to use the Masterlink instead of the MCL. You can ONLY use one or the other NOT both.

Re: BL3500/ LCS 9000 makes a loud BANG

Hi Keith,

Just checked with my friend: he says it is indeed connected with a MCL cable. He called B&O and they said he should use a ML cable?

Re: BL3500/ LCS 9000 makes a loud BANG

You may be missing my point...

Can you confirm that you are connecting the MCL cable from the DIN socket in the LCS9000 which should split into two cables with 3 pin speaker type plugs at the end which plug into the Beomaster speaker outlet sockets ?

Re: BL3500/ LCS 9000 makes a loud BANG

Keith Saunders:

The LCS9000 does not have a Powerlink socket !!

Whoops! Saw what looked like powerlink but that is of course wrong! I saw the masterlink socket was empty so presumed PL was used, but of course I mean the MCL. Thanks for clarifying Keith!

No ideas on the source of the BANG anyone?

Re: BL3500/ LCS 9000 makes a loud BANG

The LCS9000 does not have a Powerlink socket !!

It does have a Din socket for MCL (Master Control Link) and hidden behind a black plug is also a Masterlink socket

The MCL cable pluged into the LCS9000 would have two three pin speaker type plugs the other end which are connected to the Beomaster 7000

BL3500/ LCS 9000 makes a loud BANG

Hi all,

A friend of mine has a LCS 9000, predecessor to the BL3500. It says on the back software version 1.1. It is connected through a powerlink cable to BM7000. When you play a CD on the BG7000 it gives a loud bang through the speakers before starting the music.

Anyone heard of this problem before? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
