Fitting should not be too bad - the roof is domed and is accesible via the loft. I aim to mount them there rather than in the walls as the walls on 3 sides are about 2 - 3 foot thick stone! John Humphries should sound even better - using the MW section of a Beolit 700 at the minute as the FM section is on the blink!

We added two BEOVOX speakers to Bedroom suite bathrooms 2 years ago in Northeastern Brasil. They continue to work fine, but the size and strength of the speaker can overwhelm a standard or even a large sized bathroom.

As usual in solid concrete walls, pulling the cable lines was the most difficult. We hired a contractor and his solution was to chisel out furrows that the silicone conduit could then lay in, covering that with mortar. Granite tile then went over the walls and the embedded conduit.

I just checked the speakers three weeks ago, and they continue to sound as good as they did the day they were installed. Despite the rainy season here now, there is good airflow through both suites and bathrooms. No condensation observed on either speaker or the grilles ( Yes, do put the tool safely where it can be found later ).

You learn something new every day!

Those grilles, once snapped on, are buggers to get off without causing damage. (not that you should need to, but the tool is handy)

The BV1s were not released when I did an extension which included a large bathroom, I went for some SpeakerCraft in ceiling speakers, Their surounds can be painted so are very discrete and sound is v good.

Looking at the specifications, I agree with you. I'll sleep on this! I think I will have to go for the BV1s though!

I've got BeoVox 1 ceiling mounted (in the B&O acoustic boxes) and is very pleased with them. My bath room is half the size of yours (15 feet long and 6 feet wide. It will be no problem for them to fill a room twice as large as mine.

The sound is very clear, and when they where new I actually stayed there just to relisten to some classical CDs of mine. It was like listen to head phones. I discovered new parts in the music I hadn't noticed before on my BeoLab 8000 in the living room. OK, the absence of big furnitures and presence of tiles on the floor and the walls certainly are doing there part, but still, I think they are some very good speakers.

I thought BeoVox 2 would be cheaper then BeoVox 1!
