It has no problems with HDCP so far. I have an external HD Sat receiver through DVI-I (DVI-I to HDMI adapter) and digital audio in. Also connected a PS3, no problems with it either. Have to say though that i have upgraded mine to HD-ready, so find out first if the BV7-32 you will buy is HD-ready.

Re: BV7-32 or BV6-26 and HDCP

Hi Jonathan,

I have a BV8-32 in my sleeping room and I like it. But for the purpose I need a better sound than it has. The BV7-32 would be bought together with the BL7.1

Does anyone have ideas about my main question regarding HDCP?

Thanks, Heribert

Re: BV7-32 or BV6-26 and HDCP

BV6 has inbuilt speakers, BV7 requires an additional speaker... Something else to consider. What about BV8?

Re: BV7-32 or BV6-26 and HDCP

Thank you for your ideas. The LCD is intended to be in my fitnes and sauna room and so size does not matter so much.

For me the sound output is more important. I know that 7-32 is superior (BV7-32 does not have BS3!) in terms of sound but even BV6-26 would be OK. It is also a matter of price (1500 Euro vs 2500-3500 Euro)

1.

i recently put my Bv4-50 into storage as i moving into a flat for a couple of years. i am now watching TV on a 22 inch CRT and am really struggling with the small screen. it has significantly reduced my viewing pleasure but i will manage. i would urge you to watch both TVs side by side in a shop and see which one you could live with in terms of screen size.

2.

i think the Bv7-32 has an inbuilt beosystem 3 so the picture should be far superior to the bv6-26. again i would urge you to go into a shop and view the current bv7 against a bv6.

Re: BV7-32 or BV6-26 and HDCP

Any ideas?

BV7-32 or BV6-26 and HDCP

Dear all,

I read a lot about HDCP and all its problems. But this just raised my confusion. I want to buy a used BV7-32 or BV6-26 and want to add a Apple TV 2. As the older LCDs do not have HDMI I would use DVI and extra Audio via digital coax.

Which version (MK or Type) or from which Serial numbers am I on the save side that I can have a setup like this?

Thanks a lot for your tips.
