Following the service manual, by pressing "sound 0258" I've gone into testmode and that booted up fine and I could read through all the TM codes but it goes into standby after 3 minutes. You're supposed to be able to key in <<11111 when prompted for pin and this should overide & give you 12 hours use for servicing before shutting down. It doesn't prompt for a pin number and this doesn't work by just keying it in. Arghhhhhh! :(

Re: BS3000 problem

Have a look to see if any of the rubber keys have been jammed under the edge of the panel. I have never set a pin but it could be that trying to congigure it to the iphone i/r codes the gear4 unity remote has accidentally locked it up. I'll try the 5 digit service code when i get home and if that works i'll apply to B&O for a mastercode to unlock it which they apparently keep on their system in Denmark. Can anyone that uses a pin tell me if it does actually prompt you for the pin?

Seems strange that it powers up from the link room and then shuts down after a couple of minutes. Nothing works on the keypad apart from the load cd button. I really don't think it's a pin issue, any other ideas guys?

Re: BS3000 problem

Nothing happens at all when I press cd. I have a red standby light on the BS3000 and doors open but no buttons are working apart from the load cd button. Beo4 has no effect on the system at all. When I check the option and press red button/list scroll to option/go scroll to A.OPT & press 1, I get a blink on the BS3000 but still nothing, speakers not powering up or anything.

If I go in the other room and turn on the masterlinked Beolab2000, I can play a cd from the BS3000 but only through the BL2000 and it turns itself off afte a few minutes.

I bought a gear 4 Unity I/R remote to use with my iphone and had it configured to the BS3000 last week but it's been playing up and i wonder if it's totally thrown the BS3000 I/R logic out. HELP!
